The Society of Saint Vincent de Paul of the North Shore (SSVP) hosts two meals each month for guests of The Door Is Open.

A hot breakfast of eggs, sausages, and fresh Belgian waffles is served on the first Saturday of each month, and a hot lunch of chili with rice and fresh-baked biscuits is served on the third Saturday. Every guest is also served with a dessert of cookies and chocolates.

The SSVP volunteers have been welcoming guests for the past seven years in the friendly environment of The Door Is Open, serving them in the spirit of Mother Teresa, who tells us that “not all of us can do great things, but we can do small things with great love.”
